Ubisoft delivered a real surprise during Gamescom Opening Night Live event by announcing Heroes of Might and Magic III Remake. The iconic title is getting a full 3D conversion, and will include the content both from the Armageddon’s Blade and The Shadow of Death expansions.
Transforming the classic isometric view into a detailed 3D world, the remake will upgrade the visuals with a free camera control, dynamic lighting, real-time weather effects, and changing seasons. It will include all factions and campaigns across the original game and its expansions, and both online multiplayer and Hot Seat modes will be available.
More interestingly, Ubisoft has promised compatibility for all the maps and campaigns made for the original game over the past 25 years. There will also be an updated map editor, along with a new in-game hub for sharing and discovering user-created content.
More details can be found in the Ubisoft announcement. You can wishlist the game on Steam.
Also for the first time, Heroes of Might and Magic III Complete Edition is now available on Steam.
Heroes of Might and Magic III Remake is scheduled to launch in 2027 on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5.
